Description
A pair of unmachined Aluminium soft jaws for a 125 mm vise. Soft jaws are bored or profiled in place, on the machine that will hold the part, so the pocket they cut is concentric with that machine's own spindle and repeats perfectly every time the part is loaded. This is the cheapest fixturing there is for a repeat batch: no fixture plate, no drawings, and a form that grips an awkward casting or a round part far better than flat jaws. Cut them once and keep them labelled with the part number.
