Description

A two-flute carbide ball nose cutter for 3D surfacing, mould and die cavity work, and any profile that needs a radiused floor rather than a sharp corner. The full radius tip means the effective cutting diameter falls as the tool is stepped over shallow cuts, so surface speed has to be calculated on the engaged diameter rather than the nominal one — running to nominal is the commonest way these are worn out prematurely.
