Description

A straight-flute HSS machine reamer to DIN 212, finishing a drilled hole to H7 with a good surface. A reamer follows the existing hole rather than correcting it, so the hole has to be drilled straight and left with the right allowance — roughly 0.2 mm on diameter for this size. Too little and the reamer rubs and glazes; too much and it cuts oversize and chatters. Run it at about half the drilling speed with a steady feed and never reverse it out of the hole, which rounds the cutting edges over.
