Description

A two-flute solid carbide end mill with polished flutes, ground specifically for aluminium, brass and other non-ferrous metals. The polished flute surface and wide chip gullets stop aluminium welding to the cutting edge, which is the usual failure mode when a coated steel-cutting tool is used on aluminium. Left uncoated on purpose: TiAlN contains aluminium and has an affinity for it. A high helix angle clears chips upward and out of the cut. Dimensions to DIN 6527 L.
