Description
A BT40 to ER32 collet chuck with a 100 mm gauge length, for holding cylindrical-shank cutters, drills and taps on any BT40 spindle. ER32 covers shanks from 2 mm to 20 mm with a full set of collets, which makes one chuck do the work of a rack of end mill holders. Balanced for use to 12,000 rpm. Gauge length is measured from the spindle face to the chuck nose and is what your tool-length offsets are set from, so mixing gauge lengths across a tool table is a reliable way to crash a machine.
