Description
A precision ER32 collet to DIN 6499, holding shanks from 15 mm to 16 mm. Every ER collet closes over a full 1 mm range, so a set stepped in 1 mm covers everything continuously — which is why ER is the standard system on almost every milling machine and tapping head. The slits run alternately from each end so the collet collapses parallel rather than conically, and it must be clipped into the nut before the nut goes on the chuck: tightening an unclipped collet is what cracks them. Concentricity 0.015 mm at nominal.
