Description
A hardened T-nut to DIN 508 for a 12 mm machine table slot, threaded M10. The nut carries the whole clamping load into the table slot, so it is hardened — an unhardened nut spreads under load and jams in the slot, and getting it out usually damages the slot. Match the nut to the slot width, not to the stud: a nut that is loose in the slot will rock under clamping pressure and lift the workpiece.
